Could not agree more. Sadly, I see little hope of real change whoever ends up forming the next government.
With that said, I don’t see any difference in the other main western countries, especially the English speakers.
For what it is worth, last year I published a book called The American Crisis Revisited, Common Sense in the 21st Century.
My theme is the same, except I show people and events in past history, past crisis, that acted and made real change.
I give examples of a number of opportunities that exist now fpr the United States, but the vast majority are not even discussed now during a new campaign…
Here’s hoping that some, finally, steps up and starts dragging folks along

Comment on Government needs to cut its costs – and here’s my plan to do it by Charlotte Webbe https://www.brucecotterill.com/government-needs-to-cut-its-costs-and-heres-my-plan-to-do-it/#comment-349452 Sat, 08 Jul 2023 01:05:16 +0000 https://www.brucecotterill.com/?p=3921#comment-349452 Hate the red tape. As for these commissions theyre a waste of time and taxpayers money. They take complaints but have no teeth to act. Same with MP offices – seem to be a duplicate of Citizens Advice Bureau. The security tape to get into MSD and then make an appointment. Try ringing MSD, – takes over a hour to get through. With all the technology these departments use, and yet the time to access them – there are lots of barriers and deliberate time delays – employed to stall the Govt emptying out their coffers. They must pay Ernst and Young etc advisors millions to design barriers between Government and the people they serve.

I would feel more comfortable if a change of Government was more certain and I’m forever hopeful this will eventuate.
When is Christpher Luxon going to step up and deliver for us?

I just paid $47.00, at Mitre 10, for a single window stay and $15 for a 50mm, round, stainless-steel escutceon plate for a key hole!

Last year these items were less than half the price.

Comment on Bruce Cotterill: Three Waters – where is the outrage? by Steve Wood https://www.brucecotterill.com/bruce-cotterill-three-waters-where-is-the-outrage/#comment-320271 Wed, 07 Dec 2022 02:33:38 +0000 https://www.brucecotterill.com/?p=3748#comment-320271 I objected to Three Waters; my views, also, were ignored by this socilaist / communist government. My own observations are that New Zealand has become a dumping ground for the Sth Pacifics lazy and for ill-educated immigrants who call New Zealand home but bring their political and cultural ills with them. They are not finding a better life here, they’re finding a socialistically controlled life, one where the government dictates every aspect of life. Three Waters is just one example of this, and, tellingly, the apathy that this article points to, is rife within the nation. What the hell has happened? Socialisim has happened! One part of the population has decided that it’s just too bloody hard to raise objection since objections are ignored and the others are all on social benefits and don’t give hoot. They’ve been hood-winked and indoctrinated by a communist imbued Labour goevrnment and it’s corrupted misery-mad media; The result is that most under 50-y.o. New Zealanders are intellectually unconscious, have no clue as to how this nation was formed, how we made it to 2022, yet along with their equally ignorant, immigrant neighbours all have a vote.

I happened to flicking through the tv channels a few days ago and came across an old comedy called F Troop.
I watched for a while and noticed how they similar they were to our current government leaders in wellington. I suspect the show is essential viewing for all for labour and its allies.

Comment on Bruce Cotterill: Government has spent up large – but could have delivered more by John King https://www.brucecotterill.com/bruce-cotterill-government-has-spent-up-large-but-could-have-delivered-more/#comment-297940 Mon, 15 Aug 2022 14:03:30 +0000 https://www.brucecotterill.com/?p=3672#comment-297940 $327 Million to merge two media entities. One could guess that with Willie Jackson as the Minister, the aim is to “maorify” the end result.

What a ridiculous WASTE of money.

The above, plus three waters, wanting a $500 million computer system, their merger cost etc., the best part of $1 Billion gone…. – without any increased assets or productiivity.

No wonder the Government is losing support.
